Yes — you must hold a current Victorian Learner Permit before your first lesson. If you don't have one yet, you'll need to pass the Learner Permit Knowledge Test at VicRoads. Visit vicroads.vic.gov.au for details on how to apply.

Please bring your Victorian Learner Permit. You don't need to bring anything else — we provide the vehicle, the instruction and everything needed for the lesson.

This varies greatly between learners. Some students are test-ready after 5–10 hours of professional instruction, while others benefit from 20+ hours. We assess your progress honestly after each lesson and give you a realistic guide — we never push unnecessary lessons.

Absolutely — we love working with complete beginners. There's no such thing as "too nervous" or "too inexperienced." We start exactly where you are and build from there at your pace.

We cover all suburbs within the City of Melton including Melton, Melton West, Melton South, Caroline Springs, Fraser Rise, Cobblebank, Rockbank, Harkness, Kurunjang and many more. Pickup and drop-off is included for lessons within approximately 12km of Melton town centre. Outer suburbs may incur a small travel surcharge — always confirmed before your lesson.

Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash. Please contact us at the time of booking and we'll advise the best payment method for your situation.

Once a package has commenced, it is non-refundable. However, any unused lessons in a package can be used by an immediate family member. Please contact us if your circumstances change and we'll always try to find a fair solution.

We ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may incur a cancellation fee. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your booking.

Lessons within approximately 12km of Melton town centre include free pickup and drop-off. Suburbs beyond this distance may incur a small travel surcharge. We will always confirm this with you upfront before booking — there are no surprises.

Yes — we offer drive test packages that include the use of our dual-control automatic vehicle for your VicRoads test. Test-only is $190, and we also offer warm-up lesson + test packages from $250. See our Services & Pricing page for full details.

Yes — we practise on the actual Melton VicRoads drive test routes as part of our test preparation. You'll know every turn, roundabout and intersection before test day.

A mock test is a 60-minute simulation of the VicRoads drive test, conducted on the actual test route. Your instructor assesses you exactly as VicRoads would, then gives detailed feedback. We highly recommend a mock test 1–2 weeks before your real test. Cost is $150.

We offer automatic transmission lessons only. All our vehicles are modern automatic dual-control cars. If you need manual lessons, we recommend contacting VicRoads for a list of accredited manual instructors in the area.

Yes — Twinkle Care, under the same ownership as Twinkle Driving School, is a fully registered NDIS provider (Registration ID: 4-K7LW5A9, approved until May 2029). This means we can support participants on Agency Managed, Plan Managed and Self Managed plans.

In some cases, yes. TAC may fund driving lessons as part of a rehabilitation program for clients returning to driving after a road accident. Speak to your TAC case manager about whether driving rehabilitation is included in your TAC claim, then contact us to discuss further.

Absolutely — this is exactly what we specialise in. Many of our most successful students started as our most nervous. We go at your pace, never rush, and create a supportive environment where you feel safe to make mistakes and learn from them.

Yes — both Twinkle and Chandresh teach in English, Hindi and Gujarati. They also understand Punjabi and Marathi. We're proud to serve Melton's multicultural community in a way that makes learners feel truly comfortable.

Yes — Chandresh is an experienced licence conversion specialist. Many overseas licences can be converted to a Victorian full licence through a VicRoads drive test (no Learner Permit period required for eligible overseas licences). Absolutely — we welcome learners of all ages. Whether you're 17 or 70, there's no judgement here. We adapt our teaching style to suit every learner, and many of our students are adults learning to drive for the first time.
